My Trip to Grandma's! - Little Red Riding Hood
Hey, my name is Sara Redenbacker aka Red and this is my story of what happened the week I went to see my poor little sick grandmother and the interesting/crazy trip I had on my way to visit her. First let me talk about myself for a little bit, I am 20 years old and the reason I have the nickname Red is because of my long red hair, plus the extensive red wardrobe I have. Some people will believe my side of the story and some will not but this is what happened through my own experiences.
My grandmother is the wisest and caring person that I know in the world, she is also pretty funny to with her corny jokes, and when I found out that she was sick I decided to drive my old car to South Carolina, where my grandmother lives, to keep her company and stay with her for a while. I figured this would be a fun experience to drive myself down to see her (from New York) along with stopping for some site seeing along the way. My grandmother is pretty tech-savvy so I knew I would keep her updated along the way by texting her or if I had the chance to send her a message on one of the social websites we chat on from my laptop. She is pretty awesome with how she keeps up with the times and adapts to all the newest and coolest technologies. But here is my journal on the crazy trip that I had and what I found when I actually got to my grandmothers.
May 12th, 2020 - 4 p.m.
Today is the day that I leave to go visit my grandmother who has been sick for a couple of days. I have everything packed and ready to go. This trip is going to be a blast but I would rather the drive be a little shorter then 14 hours. But either way I get to see my grandma which will be a blast, hopefully I can make her feel better and we can have some fun when I get there. She actually just text me now asking me when I was going to leave and when I was going to get there. Also she said that her little cold is starting to go away, which is great, and she has some fun activities we can do when I get there. But right now I am saying goodbye to my parents and heading out the door for the long trip, hopefully I can update this journal soon.

Well I have been on the road for about 4 hours now and I figured I would stop to get some food to eat, McDonald's, and update what has happened on my trip so far. There hasn't been a lot to see so far but the drive is going pretty well along with my old car which isn't having any problems as of right now, hopefully it stays that way. McDonald's was one of few options but I decided to go with the Big Mac meal which will keep me full until I get to Grandma's house. Since I had a little free time before finishing my meal and getting back on the road I decided to look at some road conditions and maybe some places to visit on the way to South Carolina. I was looking through the news online and there seems to be some new experimenting going on with humans and various animals in South Carolina. From what I have read online there has been some serious issues with people not being comfortable living near the facility doing the experimenting, and I found out that I will be driving pretty close to where it is located so maybe I will see some crazy animals running around. But I have finished my meal and am looking to get back on the road, but first I am going to fill my gas tank back up. Update soon!
May 13th, 2020 - 12 a.m.
It seems that I can only drive in 4 hour increments before I get bored so I decided to stop again and get some coffee to help me get through the next 6 hours of this trip. Since I like to investigate things I figured that I would try and look up on some more of these monstrosities that have been created at the MANYMAL facility. From what I have researched online this is a mostly new concept that scientist have been working on that is being funded by an unknown person, who seems to have a lot of money. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information on the facility or the experiments but people that have posted stories online about MANYMAL seem to think they are mostly combining wolves and humans together creating a type of superhuman werewolf/wolverine. Seems crazy that this is going on and hopefully more details surface online but right now I have 6 more hours to drive and this coffee has given me enough energy to drive forever. I can't wait to see my grandmother!
May 13th, 2020 - 6:30 a.m.
I just arrived to my grandmothers and she greeted me at the door with a big smile on her face, and the scent of a fresh breakfast sitting on the dining room table. We had a lot of catching up to do and she seemed to be over her cold so we started to update each other on our lives. But before we started talking about our lives I was wondering if she knew about the MANYMAL facility and what she thought about it. Before she could say anything I started to say how wrong I thought it was and how crazy it is to be mixing people with animals. From what I read online it seemed to be a terrible process and many people were against it. Plus reading all of this information on peoples blogs and media pages I assumed that this was a serious issue and these experiments must have created some type of monster, and I was scared. Before I could finish my rant grandma interrupted me and said she had something to tell me. She had remarried, which caught me by surprise a little, but since she was a young 68 and still thriving with youth the surprise was short lived. Other then being excited to hear about her new husband and when I could meet him everything seemed to be normal until she told me what she had married.

Shocked. After sitting down with my grandmother I recently just found out that she had remarried a man named Normolf, or Norm for short. As we talked longer she explained how everything I saw online about this facility was actually old news and somewhat held quite to the rest of the country. She also explained that everything online consisted of mostly just a few radical people's views and concerns to try and bring hysteria around the state. Being still somewhat confused I asked how she knew this and this was when she informed me that Norm was one of these new super human experiment. I was amazed and confused at the same time and couldn't believe what I had just heard. I asked a ton of questions on how they met and why it is so hidden and she answered as much as she possibly could. She also told me that I would get the opportunity to met Norm tomorrow when he gets back from work and I was extremely excited and nervous at the same time. Supposedly these "new" people work at MANYMAL and it is a completely voluntary experiment. I had no idea what to expect but for right now Grandma and I are going to have some fun together and catch up during some shopping.

Grandma and I had a great time yesterday talking and shopping, it was also nice to get some sleep after being on the road for so long, but today was the big day that I get to met Norm. We all sat down and had a nice breakfast together which was all pretty normal. Other than having a large beard, very bushy eyebrows and long thick hair Norm was pretty normal. We talked about his work and why he volunteered to be and experiment and his simple answer was his love of new beginning and love of science. I was very surprised on how normal he actually was and how much he fit in with us. Other than being a mixture of two species I couldn't have been more mislead from everything that I had read online about MANYMAL and their facility. But after that nice breakfast it is time to spend more time with Grandma and Norm on this little vacation. Updates soon!
May 17th, 2020 - 5 p.m
After staying a couple days with my grandmother I finally got back home after a somewhat crazy trip. I finally got to met Norm who actually turned out to be pretty cool, just like my grandmother, which was somewhat surprising after everything I had read about online. But I am glad I got to met him along with see my grandmother and spend some time with her. What a fun trip.
For some images and views of the MANYMAL facility you can look on the link on the side to try and figure out how people would make different images have false meanings. Be back soon to blog more!
